The birth of a mother is rarely acknowledged in the same way. Matrescence cards change that.

Matrescence is the physical, emotional, psychological, social, and identity transition that occurs as a woman becomes a mother.

Because a mother is born too. New Mother cards acknowledge the often unseen transition of becoming a mother. They speak directly to the main character rather than vicariously through her baby.
